Kinnex Microprocessor Ankle

Freedom Kinnex integrates the world’s fastest responding microprocessor ankle/foot technology and carbon fiber to provide low – to moderate impact K3 ambulators the stability they expect – instantly. Unmatched ground compliance, improved comfort, and automated heel height adjustments keep users firmly grounded and connected, wet or dry. Designed for low to moderate K3 level ambulators that require unsurpassed ground compliance for everyday activities. With 30 degrees of microprocessor controlled motion, 20° plantar and 10° dorsi, Kinnex allows the prosthetic user to navigate environmental obstacles such as: ramps, slopes, uneven terrain, and stairs with added confidence and stability. This motion also reduces internal socket pressures and improves the comfort when sitting, squatting or standing.

Warranty Service:. Kinnex is covered by a 36 month warranty and has no required service intervals. Should service/repair be required, within the warranty scope and period, service is provided at no charge and includes the use of a loaner unit. When Kinnex is out of warranty after 36 months, it can be sent in for a repair estimate. Each ankle is evaluated by our technicians and either full or partial repairs are recommended. Where conventional mechanical prosthetic feet have always represented a compromise between flexibility and stability, electronically controlled ankle joints have until now enabled primarily slight, gradual adjustments to the user’s current gait behavior. But the new Meridium is completely different, featuring an impressive range of advantages that offer the user a significantly more precise adjustment to the current situation. As a result, the user feels extremely safe and enjoys a more natural pattern of movement. Incorporating intelligent, real-time control, the 4-axis design adjusts itself immediately to the user’s walking speed and ground conditions, whether on slopes, stairs or varying terrain.

X3 Microprocessor Knee

The X3 is the most durable, intuitive and technologically advanced microprocessor knee on the market. Developed in collaboration with the US military, it is the first fully waterproof and corrosion resistant knee available.

The X3 has undergone stringent waterproof testing. Completely submersible, the X3 allows unprecedented contact with water including showering, swimming, boating, fishing and more. Ideal for patients working in or near water!

Run, walk, run 
Via the remote or new Cockpit app for Android, the X3 can switch into a larger swing phase angle suited for running and other sports. In addition, the innovative Walk2Run mode is ideal for running short distances and start-and-stop running such as across a street, down the hall or to catch a bus. In that mode, the X3 detects a walk-to-run transition and the swing angle automatically increases, with no preflexion.

Robust and ready
The rugged design of X3 is based on conditions an active duty service member might face. As a result, X3 can withstand the elements – from rough and tough terrain to diving into water.

The most natural gait possible
The X3 features Inertial Motion Unit control, a patented technology from Ottobock that enables the prosthesis to identify where a user’s leg is in space. This feature, coupled with Optimized Physiological Gait technology, enables the user to walk with the most natural gait possible, step backwards with confidence, tackle stairs, slopes and uneven terrain and worry less about stumbling or falling.

Real-world mobility
More physical capabilities for the real world than any other prosthetic leg including running, walking backwards, crossing obstacles in a more anatomically correct way, and climbing stairs step-over-step without massive compensating movements – ­an action that previously appeared impossible for those with above knee limb loss.

Walk backwards, forwards … and more
Genium detects forward and backward motion and provides support as needed. The user is secure even when stepping backwards or changing direction

Stand more easily
The Genium can tell when the user is standing and automatically resists further flexing. This translates into being more relaxed while standing, saving energy and taking stress away from the sound side – even on inclines and uneven surfaces.

Sit more naturally
If the user sits for more than 2 seconds (with thigh parallel to the ground and minimal weight on the leg) the Genium reduces resistance to take a more natural position—and switches to an energy saving mode.

Water-resistant—and more!
Genium carries an IP rating of 54 which means the electronics are protected from splashing water, dust or dirt.

Control in the palm of the hand
In addition to the remote, the user can now switch between the 5 MyModes by using the new Cockpit app for Android smartphones. The Cockpit app also allows the user to check battery life and view step counts.

Elan Microprocessor Ankle

Elan mimics natural muscle resistance and ankle motion by adapting hydraulic resistance levels to optimise stability when standing, on slopes and uneven terrain. This encourages more symmetrical limb loading, faster walking speed and reduced compensatory movements. The ankle pivot point is optimally positioned close to the natural weight line for a more natural response through the gait cycle. The result is smoother, safer and more natural walking, helping to preserve the body for the long term.
